Longboat Key

We anchored at Longboat Key on December 28th.

Playing around the creative sculptures at the Ringling School of Art & Design.

We left our dinghy in the care of this heron as we explored the island.

The Captain feels like he's back on the beaches of Navarre again!

The beautiful Gulf of Mexico pass between Longboat Key and Anna Maria Island.

Laughing gulls and skimmers basking in the sun.

Our al fresco lunch at the Mar Vista restaurant gave us a wonderful view of Spiritus at anchor.

The local artists share their talents with the mailman, too!

Our Looper friends from "Aurora", the brave little 22 foot sailboat, surprised us with a visit.

The First Mate takes a break for an ice cream treat at "Holy Cow"!
