Starting our journey DOWN the Tennessee River at the same spot where we completed
our Great Loop adventure nearly two years ago after coming UP the Tennessee River.
One of the many beautiful homes along the shore of "Lake Pickwick" on the Tennessee River.
This area is a favorite playground for many residents who work & live in Memphis.
Spiritus waits patiently outside the Pickwick Lock while the lockmaster fills the chamber.
After having to ride UP in 12 locks, it's nice to finally get to ride DOWN!
(it's a much smoother ride & not as much work for us)
Reflections along the river on a picture-perfect day.
A "Fresh-water" mermaid!
Another beautiful anchorage!
Marsh Creek, just off the Tennessee River, provided a quiet, relaxing night.
Nothing like starting the day with a cup of fresh brewed Kona coffee on the flybridge!
Supporting our Auburn Tigers as we listen to the game on the radio,
cruising down the Tennessee River.
Pebble Isle Marina is conveniently located next to Johnsonville State Park, a Civil War battle site.
Where there is a cannon, there is history!
The park's walking trails later helped justify a naughty decision . . . . .
. . . . . to indulge in this decadent cookie, hot fudge, and ice cream dessert!
This guy is pushing a LOT of sand.
After anchoring at Duncan Bay, our last stop on Kentucky Lake, we were joined by Tom & Linda Ray from Raydiance.
They are fellow Gold Loopers whom we met in DeTour, Michigan while doing The Loop.
