Bringing in the New Year!

 

 The morning we departed Ft Myers Beach, we sadly motored past this burnt boat across from Spiritus.

We had heard fire sirens during the night and this explains what the commotion was all about.

 

 

 

We waved goodbye to Ft Myers Beach as we proceeded through the channel to the Caloosahatchee River.

 

 

 

 

 

A first for us . . . . . a floating bait shop on the Caloosahatchee River.

We watched lots of fishing boats stop for essentials . . . . . bait and beer!

 

 

 

The Captain didn't need to stop at the floating bait shop because the First Mate served him left-over pizza for lunch!

 

 

 

 

Spiritus feels like she has returned home as she enters the Legacy Harbour Marina in downtown Ft Myers.

 

 

 

 

 

The "decorating committee" got their happy on as they created centerpieces for the New Year's eve party.

 

 

 

 

 

Looper friends gathered at Jeff & Lolly's condo, adjacent our marina, to bring in the New Year.

At midnight, the champagne flowed and the fireworks glowed!

 

 

 

 

 

Happy 2015!  Yes, we made lots of noise and were creative with our fun props!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On New Year's Day we watched THREE football games . . . . . . .

 

. . . . . . . and all three of our southern teams lost!!

 

 

 

Love being at Legacy Harbour with our Looper friends and enjoying docktails at sunset together!
